About this fish
Silver Dollar is a large, peaceful, disc-shaped characin that shoals and appreciates space. Most are avid plant-eaters, so pair with tough or artificial plants.
Care tips
- Keep a group of 5+ in a large tank — they're skittish when few.
- Expect them to eat soft plants; use robust or artificial plants.
- Provide open swimming space and secure the tank (they spook and dash).
