About this fish

Red Tail Shark is an active 'shark' cyprinid. Red-tail and rainbow sharks are territorial and best kept singly; bala 'sharks' are peaceful but grow large and need a group and a big tank.

Care tips

Red-tail / rainbow sharks: keep one per tank — they chase their own kind.
Bala sharks are gentle but reach ~30 cm and need a group + very large tank.
Provide a long tank with territory and hiding spots.
